The bed was so lumpy, it could qualify as a roller coaster ride, and honestly, the parking situation, honestly, was a joke! Stating free parking yet directing us to a supermarket. I mean, I woudl ve been pleased with a simple upgrade to compensate for all this. But alas, no special treatment for me!

Everything! The kind of place you want to stay when away from home. It is easy to see the difference when the owners themselves are running an hotel. They care, and make sure you feel welcome and comfortable.Decor & rooms simple, tasteful, clean, fresh.
Nothing. Once they are able to set up their kitchen I am sure it will be equally good.

The fine room views were a highlight. Large and comfortable beds added a touch of coziness that was appreciated after a long day.
Noise from the bar was an issue, especially late at night, which could keep light sleepers awake. The mattresses felt lumpy. Parking was confusing, with some risks tied to timed supermarket spaces nearby. The mirrors in the rooms were set quite high, posing a challenge for those sitting down, and some guests faced difficulties with room entry due to initial door problems. Finally, the lack of breakfast options left a gap in the overall experience.

I stayed in a double room for two nights while exploring the local attractions, and I was impressed by how clean and well-equipped the room was. It had lovely toiletries and drinks provided, and the recently decorated space had a full-size ironing board and iron, which was a nice touch. The nearby sea view added charm to the experience, making it a perfect stop before catching the ferry.

friendly staff, but noisy nights
The staff were friendly and eager to assist, providing valuable tips for our local adventures. My room was spacious, clean, and boasted modern decor. The large bathroom with quality fixtures completed the comfortable atmosphere. I appreciated the daily replenishment of coffee and tea facilities in my room, as well as the fine views that complemented my stay beautifully.
Noise from the bar late at night disturbed my sleep on several occasions.

It was just an ideal choice for a weekend outing in Stranraer with good value. The hotel staff was friendly and helped us find nearby attractions . If you're considering parking, look for free street options nearby instead of the supermarket.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
Enjoyed a night in a twin room with fine views. The atmosphere was lively, although a bit noisy due to events nearby. Staff were friendly and helped us when we faced challenges with access. Future guests should consider arriving at quieter hours for a smoother check-in.
